City of Belfast Golf Club (COBGC) is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you.

We follow strict security procedures in storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation. We do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it.

Accessing your data

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. You can request a copy of this data at any time by contacting us directly. We will, where possible, always supply your personal data in a convenient and transferable format within 30 days.

Updating your data

Your personal data probably changes all of the time, and the accuracy of your information is important to us. Therefore, if your details do change, or the information we hold becomes inaccurate or out of date, please let us know by contacting us directly and we will rectify your data.

Deleting your data

If you would like us to delete or erase your personal information from our systems, then where possible (if not required for statutory or contractual requirements) we will do so within 30 days and provide confirmation that your data has been removed from our systems. To request that your personal data is erased from our systems, please contact us directly.

 

We will keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide you with services and to conduct our legitimate business interests or where otherwise required by law.

We occasionally use social media platforms to communicate and interact with members, potential members and customers.

 

If you share our content through social media, for example by liking us on Facebook, following or tweeting about us on Twitter, these actions are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively, those social networks will likely record that you have done so and may set a cookie for this purpose.

Where do we store information

Membership data is stored securely in paper copy in the clubhouse and online via our fully hosted cloud golf and management solution “Club V1”.

Email preferences for ClubV1 can be changed via the link at the bottom of each email received. 


How we use cookies
